Good luck Greg! Will be with you in spirit 🤣
Greg Laird's Story
In December 2024, life threw us into a whirlwind. On the 3rd of December, my wife Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer. The very next day, our twin girls Aela & Sophie entered the world.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to say that my wife is now cancer-free. We’ve reached a place we once only hoped for, thanks to amazing medical care, support, and the kindness of others who helped carry us through the hardest moments.
One of those lifelines was House of Hope in Edinburgh.
House of Hope supports people and families affected by cancer when they need it most — emotionally, practically, and compassionately. Their work makes a real difference during moments that can otherwise feel unbearably isolating.

To say thank you — and to help ensure other families receive the same support — I’m taking on a huge personal challenge in 2026:
🏃♂️ Middlesbrough Half Marathon – 1st March
🏃♂️ Dundee Half Marathon – 12th July
🏁 Loch Ness Marathon – 27th September
As someone who has never run for long distances, every mile will be powered mostly by determination, stubbornness, and the knowledge that it’s for an incredible cause.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping House of Hope continue their incredible work. Sharing this page also means a great deal.
Thank you for being part of this journey — from fear, to hope, to something worth celebrating.
