Emma Walker

Co-chairperson

Emma Walker is the Founder of Change The Chat, a project which creates spaces for women to be heard when they are hurt in the workplace, healthcare or education. She’s a hope hustler, using the power of community and story-telling to bring about change in the way that women advocate for themselves.

As a freelance consultant, she works with Third Sector Solutions and third sector clients. Drawing on 20 years of experience as a CEO across the arts, politics and social care, she is particularly passionate about making workplaces safe environments where people can thrive.

Emma has firsthand experience of caring for someone with cancer, alongside her own personal situation. After supporting her mam following a secondary breast cancer diagnosis in 2011, Emma was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2022. She now shares what she has learnt through writing and public speaking.

To be working with Lisa Fleming and her team to realise Lisa’s vision for The House of Hope means the world to Emma. She is delighted to be involved in a charity which will bring hope to so many people impacted by breast cancer.
