Natalie's Total Fundraising Target Progress
Keep up-to-date on Natalie's progress!
Longest run to date
I haven’t written anything on here for a while. Life has been BUSY and I’ve enjoyed myself a fair bit more than I probably should have on holiday but that’s what holidays are for!!
Tonight a big run wasn’t on my plan but it happened and I done my first 15k. Same route just further along!
Did I enjoy it? Most of it! Do my legs hurt? YES! Am I more determined than ever to keep going? Absolutely!

My First Injury
I’ve now been out for a month due to a knee injury :(
How it happened I don’t really know all I know is when it happened I couldn’t walk for 2 days after it or sleep it was that painful. It’s FINALLY starting to feel better now after resting and physio appointments. The physio has no real concerns so that’s a massive positive. I did think I would never run again when the pain was at its worst - wouldn’t be like me to be dramatic!
I am really missing running not just the physical aspect of it but the mental benefits it brings me too! I’m going to attempt a small 5k this weekend with a combination of walking and running to see how I get on.

My First 10k
It is almost 4 weeks since i signed up to the half marathon and i decided to give my first 10k a go. Didnt really think too much into it other than how far away was 10k from my house, turns out its Primark on princess street. I did consider just running right to Primark spending money i dont have and then jumping on the tram home. My better judgement decided against this, so i ran from my house to balgreen turned round and came back. I stayed on the main road again so it pushed me not to stop and i didnt i ran the whole way. I done it in 1 hour 13 mins which i was quite proud of. What made it better was on the last push back to my house i ran past my brother who was picking up my son from nursery :). It had been a rough week my mum wasnt very well again and ended up having a stint in hospital with some worrying news. Running is really helping me mentally at the moment and i am continuing to enjoy it.
The day after me and my dad went to an 'injury clinic' at my friends gym in town (gym on the square). We both found it really helpful as i cant lie my legs were killing me so we got a good stretch session from the guys in the gym.
im am signed up for some run clubs and i am just going to keep going, rain or shine.
