Menopause and Cancer Panel
Join Dr Fiona O’Donoghue, GP and menopause specialist with over 25 years of experience in women’s health, and Rachel Bowman, director of Menopause and Cancer, alongside two of their fabulous volunteers for an interactive workshop and expert led Q&A. This is your chance to ask the experts your biggest questions. Know you are not alone, feel supported and become more empowered.
Exercise Class
Join Anna Baker, cancer exercise specialist for a fitness session. This gentle, general exercise class is suitable for all levels and designed with those experiencing menopause after cancer in mind. You’ll move at your own pace through simple, supportive exercises to help ease joint aches, improve strength, and boost energy. The focus is on helping you feel more comfortable in your body, build confidence with movement, and leave feeling stronger and more refreshed.
Pilates Class
Led by Anna Baker, cancer exercise specialist, this class will be suitable for all levels. So whether you are a regular Pilates attendee or this is your first time trying it – there will be options for you. You’ll be guided through supportive movements to help ease joint aches and stiffness, improve mobility, and rebuild strength at your own pace. The focus is on helping you move more comfortably, feel more flexible, and leave with a greater sense of ease in your body.
Aromatherapy Workshop
Join Ying for a 45-minute aromatherapy session designed for those experiencing menopause after cancer. You’ll learn how stress and the nervous system can affect hot flushes and night sweats, and explore simple aromatherapy tools and grounding practices to support steadiness. Be guided through gentle body awareness, try a soothing hand massage, and experience a cooling aromatherapy tool to ease flushes. You’ll also create a small, practical plan to take away, as well as a sample of hand cream or hydrolate to continue using at home.
Styling Session
Join Zoe Allen, Menopause and Cancer Volunteer and founder of Styling After Cancer, for a styling workshop. If knowing what to wear has started to feel a bit harder—you’re not alone. Cancer treatment often brings significant physical and emotional changes that make knowing what to wear that bit more challenging.
This workshop is all about sharing experiences, swapping ideas, and finding simple ways to feel more confident .
We’ll chat about how treatment can impact how we feel about our appearance, small styling tweaks that can make a big difference. Zoe is a trained stylist and cancer survivor who understands first-hand how confidence can be impacted by treatment. She’ll share practical ideas to help overcome post-treatment concerns and make everyday outfits feel more put together.
