Rhoda's Story
I’m raising money for House of Hope, a local charity in Edinburgh that provides vital support to those with breast cancer. After being diagnosed in April 2025, I faced chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgeries, and now long-term medication. Throughout this experience, the team at House of Hope have been a big support whenever I’ve needed it. Their kindness, compassion, and understanding have made a huge difference, alongside the practical help they provide. It’s somewhere you can go to feel supported, take a breath, and step away when things feel overwhelming. The team also gave me the opportunity to connect with other younger women with breast cancer, which has been incredibly valuable.
I will be running 1km every day throughout June to raise funds for House of Hope, helping them continue their incredible work supporting those facing breast cancer and their families. Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated — you’ll be helping ensure they can continue providing the same hope, comfort, and care to others. 💗🏃♀️
P.S. You’re also very welcome to join me for what will be a very slow-paced 1km run!
