I am delighted to be starting in the role as first house manager for House of Hope, Scotland.
I have been involved in the charity sector for almost 10 years with Team Jak Foundation, a charity supporting children and young people with cancer and their families throughout Scotland. I started as a Volunteer with them having known Jak, a 15-year-old inspirational boy and have worked with his mum and the team both as a volunteer and as a member of the Senior Leadership team to bring his vision to life. I have worked directly with families, overseen service delivery, event planning and fundraising during my time with the charity and have met so many lovely inspirational people and it has been a privilege.
I am looking forward to a new challenge, and as I approach my 50th birthday, I believe it is the right time to embrace a new challenge and I look forward to assisting with bringing the vision that Lisa and Co have, to support people with breast cancer and their families. I bring with me commitment, compassion, energy, enthusiasm and passion in abundance and cannot wait to get The House of Hope, Scotland opened in the coming months and to build relationships with colleagues, volunteers, supporters and visitors alike. This is also a cause close to my heart, my mum is a survivor, and I know how vital having the right support is.
I am a mum of 2 lovely adult children and in my spare time I enjoy swimming, park run and socialising with friends.
