Hazel McLinden

Centre Manager

Hazel is the Centre Manager at the House of Hope and brings almost 10 years of experience working within the charity sector. Prior to joining the House, Hazel worked with Team Jak Foundation, a charity supporting children and young people with cancer and their families across Scotland. She first became involved as a volunteer after knowing Jak, an inspirational 15 year old boy, before going on to work closely with his mum and the wider team as part of the Senior Leadership team to help bring his vision to life.

Throughout her time in the sector, Hazel has worked directly with families while also overseeing service delivery, event planning and fundraising. She is passionate about building supportive communities and has met many inspiring people along the way.

As Centre Manager, Hazel plays a key role in helping shape and grow the House of Hope, supporting visitors, volunteers, colleagues and supporters alike. The cause is also close to her heart, with her own mum being a breast cancer survivor, giving Hazel a personal understanding of how important the right support can be.

Hazel is a proud mum of two adult children and, in her spare time, enjoys swimming, park runs and socialising with friends.
